Production of W1 in size DN25 is now in full swing.
About two years ago, the smart water meter Qalcosonic W1 was launched in Sweden in sizes DN15 and DN20, which are suitable for apartments and villas. Now there are also larger sizes for apartment buildings, commercial premises and industries.
Meter DN25 is of a slightly different design that will also make an impact on DN15 and DN20. The new design allows greater opportunity to accommodate more and larger batteries as well as more different communication interfaces at the same time.
Meters also have an improved signal strength with better material selection and a further developed antenna.
The market's best accuracy
Qalcosonic W1 has an exceptionally low starting flow, which means that it can detect dripping taps and toilets that other ultrasonic water meters do not detect. Compared with the otherwise most common ultrasonic water meter in Sweden, you can measure 2 bathtubs of water if the leakage is optimal.
This means that water can be detected for millions of kronor annually in Sweden that other meters do not detect. It is called "unmeasured water" but is often mistaken for "leakage".
